I think intervention kitteh needs to admit he drained thos bottles. Look at those eyes!

He also has a decided list to the left. Yep, he definitely drank them.

Hey, maple, you were right on target with your diagnosis of my kitteh. That urinary syndrome thing is exactly what he has.

ooh no. I wish it was a better prognosis. How old is minty? The thing is...you know when he has problems and not to wait...if he's peein in laundry baskets and straining like my Harley...then he needs help. I became a pro at feeling his abdoman to see if his bladder was full and blocked. So what did they say? diet change or what?

c/d and some kind of med to give him twice a day for the next three days. They gave him a bunch of fluids and some penicillin too I guess. Oh, and yes, a lovely $100 or so dollar bill. Sigh.

She didn't recommend keeping him on a prescription diet though, which is good, because then she and I would have had a go-round. I don't care for Science Diet foods and will not regularly feed them to my animals. Instead I'm going to try the Diamond and see how that goes, along with much canned food of course.

Ish. I think my cats get revenge for G's cat. When they 'feel' my bladder to check and see if it's full, they stomp and I almost wet the bed!

Sorry Maple.....what a pain in the neck.....

OH SHUT UP, YOU ALL KNEW IT WAS COMING

pain in the neck and numbess and tingling down right arm and sharp pain in the the other arm...dad blasted herniated discs...I'd like to just put my neck in traction for a while (i did that at physical therapy a couple of times) and sit in a hot tub with some of that kittah's stash....but i wouldn't need much. i'm a light weight...i'll admit it. I haven't built up a tolerance like beaner.

Orchidpants, sorry about your 'spensive kitty. A little scratch behind the ears will fix it.... And maybe for the cat too.

Minty is two and a half.

I have a whole list of stuff to do - get more litterboxes (oh, DH was THRILLED to hear that), put out more bowls of water around the house, feed more canned food, oh and the biggest one - try not to stress out the cat. Now HTH am I supposed to do THAT?

my daughters cat did that too me last night...stood right on my bladder. I tried to ignore the urge.

$100 is it? I think my vet adds things for the fun of it. science diet foods never get eaten anyway...the cats snub thier nose at it.

and what is the deal with wet cat food? is it really healthier? please edumacate me.

Well, it's wet, so it helps get more fluids into them so they pee more.

I should probably move the fish tank back down to where he can reach it easily. He's a big fan of fish flavored water.
