Aw Lori, you're a sweet girl. I'll be working at the law office again tomorrow morning, so I'll keep the thread warm until you arrive.

And since you don't FB much, here's my story about last night:

I got a musical pardon last night.
A young man called, desperate to go with CJ to the A7X concert. He rattled off a resume of similar venues he’d attended, and said he had his parent’s permission. I told him that was fine, but before I’d load him into the car I needed an adult to confirm that I had permission to take him. Five minutes later, Mom called from work and said it was fine for him to go.

Neither CJ nor I was prepared for the disappointment we felt at this not being a mother/daughter concert. That was a surprise for both of us.
Terry was overjoyed to go, and I was clearly putting CJ in the hands of an Experience Concert Tour Guide. He’d been to enough to know his way around, but not to so many that he was jaded and cynical about it. He said there would be no real mosh pit; the Civic Coliseum frowns on such. He said that since ours were seated tickets, not SRO tickets, they probably couldn’t get to any moshing anyway. He did try to get to the floor and was turned back. CJ said the couple seated next to them was so animated that she felt as if she’d been moshed anyway.
As I dropped them off, the line of people stretched around the whole coliseum. Wave upon wave of people dressed in shades of denim and black.

CJ came home with a A7X t-shirt, an autographed Hollywood Undead CD, a pic of her & one of the HU singers on her cell phone, and a big smile on her face.
Terry talked of how it compared to other shows, said this ticket was going to be taped up next to the others on his bedroom wall, and he thanked me several times for letting him go.

CJ and I have agreed that we’ll go to a future concert together, just the two of us. And I’m secretly pleased that she’ll be ‘the experienced one’ when we go, and can show me how modern rock concerts are ‘done’. I’m hoping we can find a band that I’ll enjoy, too….

While they were not moshing, I had decided I shouldn’t go home in case there were some sort of emergency. So I went to a theatre about 5 minutes away. I read my book in the lobby until it was time to see Black Swan. After the movie (which was good!) I sat in my car and read my book for another hour and a half. Then I got in a line of cars waiting to pick up their little punk rockers and waited for another 30 minutes. We got in bed at midnight. I ache all over and am exhausted. If I can’t handle the rigors of waiting for the kids, how will I ever survive an actual concert???? Hopefully at a concert the adrenaline kicks in!!

Did I tell you the school nurse called me yesterday to come get my sicky kid? So today I'm home with 2 sicky kids. That's ok...it only meant I could sleep until 11 and tell them to eat icecream for breakfast. That helps sore throats...it's legite.

So then dd wanted something more so she decided to get some tuna....she walked away and the dog ate it.....so then she went and got another can of tuna and she spilled the whole thing on the floor....so the dog ate it. So I grabbed her piggy bank full of quarters and went to Mcdonalds. Piggy just took a ride...I ended up finding enough money to buy lunch AND a bag of feed. Aren't you impressed?

I am GRAVELY disappointed though. I ordered a fruit and walnut salad and they said they stopped selling them because no one was buying.

I'll see you guys tomorrow. I'm going to go home and try to console my little chickens - they are sick to death of this weather too.

Have a good evening Lori. I'm glad you and your DD will have together time at a future concert. And don't worry, your youthful mojo will get you through it.

Her face is gorgeous! Is she going through a self-conscious-about-EVERYthing stage?

Me three.

Hi Lori - I wasn't on a computer this morning due to heavy snowfall and chores at home. but I'm here at the law office now, and all is well. Except I have to work a little bit.

I miss you guys.

It's about time you show up for work. You just recently told us it rarely snows there so heavy snowfall is no excuse.
