So far so good. Haven't been down to the coop yet, but it's still there. Got really scary for a while. Driving home was worse than in an ice storm; I've never seen so many roads turned to rivers before, and I've lived in this area for 25 years. DD hid in the basement when she heard the sound of a frieght train. Luckily it was hard HARD rain mixed with hail, and not the winds. DH says the worst is past now. Time to check on Mom and see if she's okay in N GA.


Nope, Chelle, totally different source for Esmerelda. Turns out emu egg season is at an end, so I feel really lucky to get this one. It was found as the emu owner swept out the pen. She sent it for shipping only

Darn...my credit score ain't great. Not that I was expecting it to be but it would have been better had I been able to qualify for the FAHA loan at 3%. drats...back to needin mom. I was hopeful for a moment. I can get my credit back up he said in 6 months but I need my credit now...waaaaa.

Thanks chelle. If I need my mom to help me get the loan, my sisters will throw caniption fits but...I guess it is what it is. I hate family squabbling. They are doing well in life...well, maybe not my oldest sis but she lives with my mom rent free, travels a lot, and is broke. Go figure. But it's the middle two that are throwin fits. Mom's not going to be put out by helping and I'd be technically renting from mom then and I'd be paying the bills for a rent to own. Once my house gets sold I'll be able to pay mom back every penny of the down payment she would have to pay. Then after a while we could refinance it and sign it over to me. Why does everything got to be such a huge deal? sigh....
