Yes, but that's DH's job all summer long! And he has a riding lawnmower. He's going to spend this next weeken lovingly prepping it for summer '11 while DD and I go to Maryville, TN and then Dalton, GA on Saturday.

He's a yard geek. It aggravates the heck out of him that he can only fertilize and poison the front yard. The back yard is for the chickens and the guinea pig to safely nibble and gnaw on.

BTW, the front yard is a postage stamp. Less turf than is covered by the firepit & garden beds alone.

That was a good one.

Hey, that phone call was my seller to my new house....now we are getting together fri. or sat. and signing it and then bringing the offer to purchase to our bank. We're on our way.

Hey Wegots did you know g licks her puppy? YUCK! I kiss mine but only on the cheek.

I know what you mean by the not fertilizing the backyard, I wont let my DH do the side that the chicken coop is on.

all this excitement and licking has made g tired....g takes a nap before my mommy gets here to help me clean, sort, and pack. yawn

Back when I had a puppy I never EVER licked it. I did kiss her knotty head though... (Irish Setters have knot-heads. It's a breed thing.)

I kiss my cats on the head, too. And snuzzle their soft bellies when the kitties are sleeping. I try to resist giving belly-blows. I frequently fail.

I don't kiss the chicks or chickens, although I chin-rub on their satiny backs. I do coo at them and sometimes have long conversations with certain hens.

I don't kiss the guinea pig, although we have an arrangement where she lets me pet her if I reward her with treats.

It's been raining all day and will continue to do so. I wish I could take a nap.
I am tired from having fretful dreams last night. In my final dream I was swimming along the edge of a beach and the forest was bursting with explosions and lightning was crackling through dark clouds of smoke and storm. It was very scary. Suddenly I was swept out to sea by a strong current that was taking me to an oil-rig type of thing. I was trying to grab a support before I got sucked under water and I was screaming for help. DH heard me, but not until I'd already managed to grab a support. And then I had to worry because he'd jumped in and was being swept away. My last thought before I woke up was that we were both going to be stuck out there for ages....

I learned while snuggling mr Monroe the bunny last night that I am allergic to him. Probably similar to long haired cats (I stay with shorthairs).

Lori, you would love Mr Monroe. Litterbox trained and snuggly. Lionhead mix. WHAT MORE DO YOU NEED?
