I sold 4 more chickens tonight. Bringing my total for the week up to 9. GO ME.

That brings me down to 42. Have another 14 for sale, which would bring me to 28. I haven't had that few in YEARS.

Ran out of chicken feed so picked up a single bag tonight to hold me over til the weekend. It went up a buck. Darn it.

Nells continues to downsize.... 42 is lots of chickens. I have 10 chickens and 10 ducks and I think I have too many ducks. I may be selling some soon.

I hope feed hasn't gone up here...I go tomorrow.

42 may be a lot but I used to have about 150. So 42 is NOTHING. I can't wait to be back in the 20's. OMG, I won't even know what to do with myself.

a) Batty is a driver.
b) Driving Me Batty sounds better than Truckin Me Batty.

Batty, before you go all Icelandic on us, how many pens do you have availableright now and how many more would you need for new project birds?

I have 5 pens. 3 are available. Then I have the building I am going to be working on making my hatching/brooding shed. And once it dries up I'll get my camper from LH's and finish gutting it and then insulating it. I have a fenced area here with a really ruin down coop that i plan on tearing down and then using the camper as a coop.

Sold the two mares today. Basically gave them away. Nothing else to do - I can't afford them all! Chickens are so easy and CHEAP! My horses were eating in 4 days what the chickens don't eat in a month. Small livestock is so much better on a budget.

J and I had a "heated discussion" I think the loss of the foal and then the sale of the horses made it harder to avoid the scream fest any longer. Sometime you just have to yell it out.

Boo, glad your dad is showing improvement. My dad was on blood thinners for a long time before he died.

G,it'll all come out in the wash, try to stay positive(real funny coming from me, right?)

Lori, The icelandics are too cool for sure. Kathyinmo is an evil evil enabler!. But once I get all the rearranging done, I'll be in good shape. I'm only keeping small pens of birds and since my two gl polish are boys it'll be two less birds I'm keeping.

Next year will be crazy! I should have tons of boys for the freezer! LOL!

Nella, good thing your bunny is a boy, I might have ended up with him. TOO cute! I actually need to find a new home for Mr Bunny. He needs someone who will play with him and stuff.

Purging....must downsize and stay focused.

Horses are a huge money pit. Believe me, I know! Did you sell the one with the baby?

that has to be a huge weight lifted though. Chickens are no where near as expensive and just as fun
