My car is a 1999 Camry. Inside it's great. Outside, not so much. The driver side door handle broke twice, the second time, for good. I now have to open my door from the inside, from the backseat door. I always pretend to be putting something in the back seat so I can retain some sort of dignity.

Ok, so orchy can fly.

Bow's has a tongue disorder.

And buff's gotta open her car door from the backseat.

Would it make you feel better if I told you that I adore my '03 Grand Am? It's far from new (nearly 150,000 miles), the radio buttons are losing all their paint, the carpet on the driver's side has a hole, and it's been to the body shop six times. But when I want to pass someone, I can FLY.

New isn't everything.

Nells, Norman is cuteness personified. Or would that be catified. Anyway, what happened to his sisters?

I adopted his mom and all 3 kittens from the shelter as they were going to be put dow . Actually that first pic I posted of him in the cage at the shelter was taken when they were in the cage in the hallways outside the euthanasia room.

So anyways, I took them family home, got them all healthy and everyone spayed/neutered and then adopted out the mom and 2 sisters to new homes. Spooky, the female black kitten was adopted to a family my mom worked with. The gry kitten Smokey and the momma kitty were adopted together to a lady my mom worked with. Smokey died at about a year old after an unknown illness.....best home ever, it was devastating to the adopter. Momma kitty is still with that lady who is now retired and adores her.

I kept demon spawn, I mean Norman.

and Buff's...I don't have a clock to clean...I made sure I threw them all out on daylights savings so I wouldn't miss that hour.

Just before Zoe's 6 year birthday, we went to the feed store to buy a bag of chicken feed. Curled up sleeping on a bag of feed was the little black kitty we'd seen earlier weeks playing with his orange and one grey kitty siblings. He was the last one to find a home. Zoe stopped in her tracks and said, "OOOH." And picked the little sleepy kitty up and the great big grainery owner came up behind her and said, "You wanna take that kitty home?" And you should have seen Zoe's face when she looked at me after he said that. I said, "If that's what you want for your birthday you can have him BUT you won't get any other presents because we'll have to take your present money and get the kitty his shots..." She was thrilled. A month or so later we heard him mama died of unknown reasons and she was one of the friendly ones that hung around the grainery. So sad.

The funniest thing I remember after we got this little spazzoid black kitten was Zoe was watching a movie in the back bedroom with her kitty in her Barbie nightgown that hung to her shins and it was summer so I was outside shutting the coop and her window was open and I heard her scold her kitty and say, "I said night night!" And then she would scream and laugh. And say it again, "I SAID NIGHT NIGHT!" and then scream and laugh. So I went to the window quietly to peek in to see what all the mayhem was about. She was putting her kitty in the little house part of the cat tree house and would say, "I said night night," and then she would turn and walk away towards the bed but kitty JUMPED out of the cat tree house took 2 or 3 leaps and then his little kitten body would shoot UP her gown and attack her legs and she would scream, fall to the floor and giggle. And this repeated and repeated. It was the funniest dern thing EVER. Gosh kittens are fun...especially when they are torturing children.
