If you stew a whole chicken and pick the meat off I bet he will love it. Remove the meat from the soup and throw the bones back in and let them simmer and the soup base the marrow provides will be very nutritious. You can even make you some chicken noodle soup for Nells, it's good for the soul.

I make soup all the time for the animals. Hence, everywhere I go I'm surrounded by dogs, cats, chickens.

Hey they are friendly. For making a meal out of.

I have recipes!

So do I. I just have to get the raccoon before the dogs get the raccoon. They LOVE raccoon freshly caught.

I see a chicken in the crockpot in my future.....he likes to lick the juice off the canned food but doesn't eat much of the meat. He does like a little string cheese at night and will eat some teriyaki steak if I have it. Considering force feeding him baby food if he keeps this crap up lol.

With cats, once they stop eating for whatever reason, it can be hard to get them to start up again. That is the problem we are having now. I think norman feels better but still doesn't have an appetite back yet. He acts excited about food but loses interest once he sees it.

Anything I cook in the crock pot feeds everybody. The best meat goes to the humans, the next best goes to the cats, with a little juice poured over it to make it extra tasty, and the rest goes to the chickens (usually mixed with oatmeal).

Beaner, mince Norman's chicken really fine and add the juices to it. Then he gets a little meat while he laps up the tasty 'water'.
Also, if you pour the juices into a container and cool them in the fridge they will solidify. The bottom layer is the richest and can do for those times you run out of meat or don't have time to mince it.

Also, having new competition for food *might* make Norman more inclined to scarf up din-din. Especially since it's a male.....

Cheese is good food. You might get some yogurt and see if he likes that. Callie LOVES strawberry YoPlus.

I will not chase chickens...they can have some free time...I've got a cute new neighbor and his dad is over there visiting...got to break 'em in...even if I'm moving in about a month.

Sooo...I just loaded up my mini van--yep, cuz I'm special and drive one, and it was stuffed from floor to ceiling in every available spot...less the drivers seat....and dropped the schtufff off at my church rummage sale this morning AND Pastor Steve is sending someone with a truck to come get the baby bassinett and tuggy sand box boat. Now what else do I have to put in that pile for them to pick up with a truck? hmmm....OH OH....the office computer desk I don't want. whew...thanks for reminding me.
