Ended Official 2020 BYC Halloween HAL Poultry Pumpkin Eating Contest

After the raw pumpkin was a flop, I baked the pumpkin as was suggested. To make it even more exciting I sprinkled some flax seed on.
The response in the “old” group was a little better than with the raw pumpkin, but interest peters out quickly.
Only Becky Pecky ate a little longer.

With the new group, all 4 were excited, but Persnickety decided it was all hers! This picture was taken before she pecked her sisters away.

It was just a raw pumpkin with a hole cut in the top of it. All of my pullets went nuts for it but my little rooster didn't like it. I've been giving them whole pumpkins lately without a hole and letting them do all the work to get to the seeds and pulp. They luv it and it keeps them busy!
