How to Photograph Pumpkins

Rules

• This contest is open to all BYC members, not just Halloween HAL participants.
• Maximum of 3 entries per member.
• Limit of 5 images per entry, one entry per post, please.
• PUMPKINS MUST BE CARVED
• Surface Carving is permitted.
• Pumpkin carvings can be original or carved from commercially available stencils, etc
• Painting and attached decorations are allowed but the pumpkin must be carved too.
• Bonus points for images of pumpkins taken in a dark room with pumpkin(s) lit from inside.
• No fake editing or captions, we want to see the world through your eyes, so no excessive use of editing tools. However, basic cropping is allowed.
• Do remember that PHOTO QUALITY comes into play since this is how the pumpkins will be judged
• ALL pictures MUST be uploaded to BYC and not hosted on other image sites, personal websites, etc.
• Contest Ends October 31st, 2020 Midnight Pacific time

Prizes

Place	Prize
First Place	$50 BYC Store Gift Certificate or a 1-year PFM ($60 value) for yourself or a friend.
Second Place	$30 BYC Store Gift Certificate or a 6-month PFM ($35 value) for yourself or a friend.
Third Place	$15 BYC Store Gift Certificate or a 3-month PFM ($20 value) for yourself or a friend.

Yes! Decorating your pumpkin is allowed but it must also be carved to participate in the competition.

I want to carve it. I was thinking about carving till it shows the "meat" and then dyeing the "meat" so that is has a glow of a different color.
