Here's my Royal Palm turkey hen Poppy. She's going through quite a hard molt this year. First her pretty face...

And now her molting pictures...

Cute story is that every night for a long time she has come up to me for a hug before I shut their door. I didn't think she'd want a hug in this condition lol, but she hasn't missed one yet, spikes and all.

I know, worst molt I've seen in one of my turkeys so far. Luckily it has been unusually warm this past week in 60s and 70s.

Pretty much! My pied Muscovy was last to go, as usual. She’s in the regrowth phase, very annoyed that her sister can fly to her perch, but she can’t yet. A boring molting year, no good pictures, I’m afraid! I’ve very much enjoyed looking at everyone else’s though!

Mine are all done too. No stragglers this year. Everyone got to it and got it done without too much discomfort.

My ducks just started! Maybe because the weather has been up and down this year more than normal.

A few of my chickens just started molting, but luckily it's nothing too dramatic. Everyone else is done. Poppy is back to her fully feathered self.
