Budgie looks like she just exploded

I have a molting hen like that too. Boom, feathers everywhere. Happens at night too. Wonder what the other turkeys think as the hen next to them seems to explode.

It wa awful!! I went out later that day and saw so many feathers I thought she'd been attacked. But she was just walking around like normal!

This Eggman my silver tuxedo coturnix quail also the first molting quail I have had these pictures were at the height of her molt and she’s looking much better now

This is not an entry, just an update on Winger's molt. Just the wing tips are left to go. It seems like my little drake disappeared overnight and was replaced by this massive bird with salt and pepper hair. I almost don't recognize him - same sweet temperament, though.

Is this his first adult molt? It is an amazing transformation some muscovy go through as they mature.
