Some have leftover things from hubby's projects too. Left over wire insulation, that I will hollow out. The light in the carousel is bead, wire insulation, and the light, so it works. Just like doing it. Creating little scenes and worlds. Glad you like them.

They are really quite lovely!! Looks like a lot of fun too!

1st entry) These two little "chicken dumplings" are my first attempts at hand-sewing. The heart was the very first item I made, but the chickens are the focus of my entry.

This is a Junk Journal. For me, its a lesson in NOT being perfect. Its a little bit of scrap booking with some paper are, righting, stamping, painting and other things rolled into one. I've made a few, and have a few in the works. This one is a Vampire Junk Journal. It comes with a story of a woman turned vampire who is stalking the vampire who turned her. Hope you enjoy!

I know this says judged photo contest and no screenshots, but my artwork is a book. A Junk Journal to be exact. I have a video of the journal that shows every page and part of it... it's a large 3 signature book. To do the book justice, I'd have to take many many pictures. Would posting the video be okay?

After consulting with the judges, it's been decided that pictures are required.

OK, so here is my official entry. If you'd like to see the full walkthrough of the book, please take a look at the video on my youtube channel. Vampire Junk Journal

This is how the book looks when sitting on a display case. There is an elastic band that keeps the book closed and the tassel is on the edge of the book.


The corners are antiqued bronze corners. The cover is made of a silkie stretch black material. The gold leaf ribbon is on the front and back of the book.


The tassle has sari silk ribbons from India. There is a Vampire killer stake attached to it, along with some real garlic powder in a miniature bottle and some "holy water" in another bottle.


The first pages you come to has a sealed envelope with a letter in it. The letter is written by the books "owner" telling you why she kept this journal as she hunted down the Vampire that turned her into one.


Through out the book you'll find lots of pages to write or create on. As well as many journaling cards, bookmarks, envelopes, pockets and much more!


In some of the pockets you might find other items that relate to the story of the book itself.


This is a bag with a decorated peacock feather in it.


Pockets with note cards and ephemera.


There might be a few hidden notes and other surprises in the book as well.





One such surprise is a "found" journal or Vampire's Little Black Book

There are a lot of pages in the book that are perfect for writing or drawing on. Lots of various types of ephemera and cards. It took me about a week to create this. I was creating this for a journal swap in a group I was in, but then decided to keep it. LOL I hope you enjoy. I have others, that aren't so dark. They are still packed away from my last move. If I find them in time, I may post more!

Entry #1
I made these plant markers for my mom's birthday. They are made of a two-part clay-like epoxy material. I painted them with metallic bronze paint over a bluish-black base coat to make them look like metal.

Those are really cool!
