My #4 Entry.
ANGEL WINGS
The ingredients. Egg yolks only. Flour, and a swig of vodka.
Work the dough kneading by hand until can be rolled out thin, like for pasta. Cut with roller into strips, Cut slot in middle, and fold/twist to shape.
These are baked in hot oil like donuts. The Powdered sugar is for dusting after done baking.
The alcohols' purpose, is to keep the angel wings from getting saturated with oil during the baking process. Does not affect taste, as it all evaporates in the process of baking.

This is not an entry,,, but a response to Auntiejessi
Yes the last entry, of Angel wings were baked in oil. But when I finished baking, I drained oil back into oil container. Not very much oil was used up in the baking process.
The alcohol prevents much of the oil being soaked up by the dough.

Then placed on paper towels, to drain off any oil on surface.

But there is an alternate way to bake. In oven.
The following picture is from my previous making of Angel Wings some time ago. They are done baking, and no oil whatsoever.
These are before dusting with powdered sugar.
