Sorry for my ignorance, but what is APA and ABA mean? And what do you mean by not recognised etc?

APA stands for American Poultry Association, and ABA for American Bantam Association

No. Birds from all over the world can enter, but if they are a breed recognised by the APA or ABA, they will be judged on the US standard of perfection

So what about mix breeds etc?
I'm in the process of creating a breed, still just at the 1st generation, and selecting 2 specific colours to breed, none of the generic colors

Mix breeds would fall under the "not recognised" category, and not be judged based on the SOP, since they have none. Their criteria are different, and listed in the original post
