Ended Official BYC Article Writing Contest - #22

You'd be a first, I think, as it was asked in the former article contest, and to my knowledge, nobody has replied saying we couldn't use AI. I thought, though (in small print beneath the AI), we would have to state it was AI to not be deceptive. Some of those AI pictures are very realistic!

I honestly think, and it's my personal opinion here, that if people started replacing pictures of their chickens or whatever with AI, that could diminish the credibility of the writer. How can someone write about what to do with my chickens if they don't appear to have any?

However, in your case, or many cases perhaps, where it's near impossible to get a shot of what you want to depict, then AI is probably the only answer unless you know someone who has that shot and gives their permission for you to use it. An article with run-on text and no pictures is harder to read and stay interested/focused. Like the old saying, "A picture is worth a thousand words."

I would imagine using AI could be on a case by case basis. If that's all you have, I'd just go for it and let's see!
Thank you! I will give it a shot! I don’t want to use AI images but I’m not sure what else to do. Maybe I can draw something 🤣

Can I enter my
"Raising bantams from chickhood to parenthood(Including silkies)"
Article?
How To Enter:
  1. Pick a poultry-related topic. We suggest writing an article that is not already covered in our Learning Center, but is a topic that would be a good addition to one of the sections in the Learning Center.
  2. See here for the article/member page/coop page writing tutorial.
  3. Create a well-worded & detailed title. Example: “How To Raise & Process Chickens for Meat - Tips & Pictures” is much better than: “Meat Chickens”
  4. Write a unique high-quality article with around 750 words (more is fine as long as it is good/helpful info). It must have at least one picture relative to the subject. Bonus points if you add more pictures.
  5. Post a reply to this thread with a link to your completed article(s) - A maximum of Two article submissions per member will be allowed.

It’s not so much the topic as the fact that I would have no pictures that I took based on the topic I guess lol maybe I could just use AI generated…
  1. Only original pictures, taken by you, or someone you know (with their permission) may be used. No screenshots from the web, books, or magazines are allowed.

Yeah I know…lol. That’s why I asked to message a mod because the topic is nearly impossible to get pictures of because it doesn’t happen often. I’ll just pick something else! No biggie 🐓❤️

What is the topic? I might be able to find some you could use.

Just wondering why you quoted this? Is it because I can enter more than one article
