I think you can ask a moderator to change old posts. I'm sure they would understand as well if you just quoted the one you no longer wanted in the competition and posted your new article.

Well, I have been putting a lot of hours of research into winter survival with chickens as the season draws nearner and decided to put it all together on a page. And since I've written it all up, I thought it would make a good second entry for this contest:

Cold Weather Advisory: A Detailed Look at the Question of Supplemental Heat

This is a very controversial topic, so I tried to keep it neutral even though I feel pretty strongly about it and wrote it from an informative point of view rather than a defensive point of view. Still working out a few kinks and adjusting it to make it "just so", but I think it's good enough for now.
