I got him from a kindergarten class that hatched eggs last spring and they couldn't tell me what breeds...but I think so. I was told by experts on here he was Australorp or Jersey Giant He is awesome, so docile...loves his back and tummy rubbed . He's a favorite. This is him now..I really think he's an Australorp because one of the oullets he sired is already laying at 14wks.Is that a black australorp? I just got 2 baby chicks that are and picking up a few more tomorrow

They for sure seem to be a very friendly breed. I experienced the same kind of behavior from him. And seems to still be the case. He will peck at my jeans so I will sit down and let him in my lap. He will be a year old in April. Hope he keeps his friendliness. I have read a lot about roosters becoming aggressive. . .Ohhh he is stunning, it’s funny I always like the roosters more then the females of all breedswish I could have mostly roosters .
My 2 lil ones I got are extremely friendly and love attention. Infact the kinda demand it. Love to snuggle. One jumped out of the Tupperware (had no idea he/she could do that already) anyway came in got in bed with me when I was napping curled up and napped with me right between my arm and face![]()
