I think this is @Kiki's 3rd or 4th contest, and we go through this every time, so it is kind of a running joke. No harm, no foul, just lots of giggles.

The problem becomes a real issue when someone posts a date where either the first or second number could easily make sense as being the month. It is easy to figure out when the first number is 13 or higher but could easily be missed when posting the date first and it is 12 or less.
