More random questions from me. So I have 4 white leghorn roosters. They’re 10 weeks old this week. Next week on Wednesday they will be 11 and so on.

I know leghorns are not good for meat but since we hatched them we figured why not. (We were expecting them to be half olive egger but I guess my white leghorn fertilized the leghorns).

Should I go ahead and process them now since they aren’t going to get much bigger or should I wait the full 3-4 months?

Right now one weighs 2.8 lbs. so my guess is I’ll get maybe 1 lb of meat 🤣 So do I bother keeping them alive? Will they pack on tons of weight in 2 weeks (doubtful 😆)
Process them now and you can have fried chicken. Process them later and make chicken soup.

Thanks. I’ll probably go ahead and process them. I just don’t want to waste feed on these roosters if they’ll consume a few pounds of feed but they’ll only give me half a pound or so more of meat. I rather save the feed.

I want nice legs.
I'll bet you have great legs.
Nothing to do about this comment but how are the Geese and egg sitting going? They still sitting on the eggs that you put under them? When you expect pips and/or hatching?

Edited my oops to the correct animal, which is Geese and Goose Eggs lol! My bad!
They are still sitting. All but one were internally shadowing into the air cell. I've looked in on them a couple times today. No sign that the eggs have hatched yet. :fl

I'm waiting on eggs to hatch too. Got 1 pipped, & 1 internally pipped.
