I can honestly say that I have never tried fruitcake. It's because it has those cherries in it and I find them so sweet that I just can't. I tried fresh cherries a while back and by a while back I mean within the last year lol. I really enjoyed the fresh ones. The flavor isn't as strong. I really liked them. It must be the syrup in the maraschinos. Idk.

Fruitcake is a much maligned food. Personally, I like a good fruitcake. Unfortunately it is really hard to find a good fruitcake recipe.

Fresh cherries come in a vast variety of flavors from the delicious Bings and outstanding Queen Annes to the bitter chokecherries and the tart pie cherries. I make an absolutely awesome Cherry Jam from tart cherries.

I think I like all of the other ingredients in a fruitcake so it a different cherry was used in place of the Maraschinos, I probably would like it. I like various nuts and raisins and pineapple (is that in it?) and.. um.. what else is in it? Dates? I like dried dates and I've had protein bars made with dates as the binder and I liked those. What I am saying is that I would probably like it.

This may be a dumb question but is coconut milk considered dairy? Why isn't it just fruit "juice" even though it is called milk? Pina Coladas are just coconut milk, pineapple juice and rum?

The mix ones aren’t. They are dairy not actually coconut milk. She had some frozen thing and it said it contains dairy and milk was under the description.

If it was coconut milk I would’ve drank one

And no coconut milk isn’t considered dairy, but most puns colada drink mixes use milk not coconut milk
