well yes because we are all observing DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME. the guesses were in EASTERN STANDARD TIME, so it should end in EASTERN STANDARD TIME

2. You can only enter the contest with ONE GUESS ENTRY!​

4. You can change your guess to a different day/hour IF IT IS NOT TAKEN but if you choose another day you allow someone else to take your previous guess.​
5. You can change your guess as many times as you want until the end of the contest time above!​
6. To change your guess: Edit your guess post before the end of the contest​
7. All guesses must be on the HOUR (i.e., NO MINUTES). If you entered minutes into your guess your guess will be eliminated.​

It's too complicated. Kiki was online. Everyone who was online with her thought the contest ended at midnight EST. Everyone who read the rules thought the same. It ought to have been called (by all) at midnight EST.

It was all in good fun for me, but there are obviously people really hoping to win. FWIW, it seems more fair to go with the rules (even though a lot of peeps didn't read them) and with Kiki's interpretation, since she was the one online the whole time, doing the MC work.

This is so confusing. I did my math according to my time zone but if we’re going by a specific time zone then my calculations will be off since I went off by my time zone

What time is it at your house right now?

But it was fun playing! I’m just curious if let’s say someone on the east coast chose 12pm and someone on the west coast chose 9am on the same day, who would win since both would be right.

No...because the rules specifically state that all guesses must be in the EST time zone.

EST time it is 10:15, EDST time its is 11:15

Some guesses were in EST and some were in PST even though we are all on DST right now. But if you read the rules, neither was specified. I think we confused you by even bringing up the time zones. I was confused about it too, and then I said PST in error, which confused everything further. So, it doesn't really matter if you said EST, PST, EDT or PDT. It's just the hour that counts, am or pm.
