Chuckens seems lots bigger than baby chicks. Wait till she sees them trying to swim in a water bowl. She does have a quizzical look on her face.

Back in the day raised many broods of ducklings under chicken hens. Every mother went hysterical when her 'kids' discovered the creek located at the base of our property.

Is she used to ducks around the place? The tub is small so no big deal chickens will often stand in the water on hot days anyway so small bowls of contained water arent going to give them much to worry about. A bigger pond or creek is another story.

@caychris - Yes, she actually grew up with our Khaki's so the hen knows the ducks swim in the big kiddie pool. The chickens won't get in it, though! I couldn't imagine how she would act if they went into a pond
