Ended Official BYC Mini-Contest—What's Your Hobby?

Pics
I LOVE to crochet, its a great past time and I can bring it along with me anywhere even the car!
I try to crochet mostly in the evening relaxing and enjoying music or a TV show.
I am well versed in many patterns and styles. I love it all. I will try any pattern and yarn type.
I enjoy amigurumi the most whichnis crocheting animals or objects. I also love lace crochet such as doilies.
It's fun to challenge myself. I want to eventually create my own patterns. I sell a few things but it's not a steady business I mostly make things for My family.

Those are awesome! How long have you been crocheting?

During Covid I took up Latch hooking. It's a great way to keep fingers busy. Though I'm not considered an expert by any means, I have made 50 rugs in the last two years. There is not much of a public demand for them so I don't make money off them.

Gardening

I started gardening 4 or 5 years ago. I got my first garden all planted and ready to go and 2 weeks later we put our house in the market. So I never even got my first gardens harvest. You’re welcome new homeowners🤣

We moved to our current home and it had a “sand pit” for kids that we turned into our garden. We had to remove all the sand, added in compost and weren’t expecting much for our first year in this sandy ol plot. It crushed it! We were giving stuff away, tomatoes out the ears!

I’m still learning each year but totally enjoying it!

p.s.- I’m some kind of crazy and love weeding, I find it therapeutic.

You definitely have a green thumb!

My biggest hobby is finding the limits to my jeeps, modifying to overcome the limitations and repeat.
