Thanks. Yup, I put a rooster and hen gourd with eggshells on one of the other mini contests. I just buy the gourds already dried. It takes about six months to sit around and dry. I just like the fun part. You can see AMAZING gourd art on a website called Gourd Art Enthusiasts.

OK. Here is my eggshell entry.



Gourd covered with broken eggshells; colored with ink dyes and pigment powders for a shimmer effect, top accented with variegated metal leaf.

This is beautiful!

Yes, it's gorgeous. The colours remind me of the ancient egyptians.

Thanks, y'all. The hardest part is the cleaning prep - getting the two layers of membrane out of the inside of the eggshell. (Oh yeah, and the cleaning of the gourd inside and out.)

Catandher chicks - love it. I don't have the dexterity to glue pieces of shell but, you certainly do. How long did it take from start to finish? Most excellent
