I see a previous winner was an SS, so Joy got to peck my sweatpants for 10 minutes while I shoved my phone in her feathers! (Which ironically, I had actually gone outside to take pictures for the Worst Molt Contest!)

The sun was at the exact perfect angle and her feathers have the most amazing green-blue tint when it hits them!
(I did my best to brush away all her “chicken dandruff”)

But my camera roll is now home to a plethora of blurry-heads-trying-to-Peck-the-camera pictures!

The way to get non blurry photos of moving animals is by using a fast shutter speed and or using a flash.

I guess I have in a way...

My SS is like a dog. She comes up to me, let’s me pick her up, and is always friendly. However, dogs aren’t very still, and neither is she! So I wore my vibrantly colored sweat pants out there so she would stay still and peck my pants instead of running around me looking for food, while I put my phone in her feathers

The Cone's feathers aren't exactly contest worthy. They're quite confusing to look at.

That’s a beautiful SS! They’re my favorite breed- how about you!
