Please say a prayerTook me 5 months to add 2 hens to a flock of 5 hens. Consistent habits with supervised free range. I can finally feel safe to have them all together. The 5 hens still hate the 2 new, but, no fighting. Good luck!![]()

Gotta keep checkin' the chooks. Eventually they get tired of chasing and fighting (we hope)... prayers up Antiocheggers! I'll be thinking of you all day and again tomorrow. Your focus and smarts will get you throughPlease say a prayerwe are removing the crates today. I hate seeing the chick's getting picked on. They are almost as big as in the hens in there but they just don't fight back.

It might take them some time to get settled in. Be patient. I'll be praying. Hopefully your Brahmas will become like my Nalla (she was an Orpington/Brahma mix). She wasn't the queen in the flock, but one growl from her said she was boss. Please say a prayerwe are removing the crates today. I hate seeing the chick's getting picked on. His ninja mode! He's beautiful.
Love his red coloring.
Aww..thank you so much. We have removed one crate today before the rains set in. So we left the other crate open. So if there is any chasing they will be going around in circles.Gotta keep checkin' the chooks. Eventually they get tired of chasing and fighting (we hope)... prayers up Antiocheggers! Around in circles, lmaoAww..thank you so much. We have removed one crate today before the rains set in. So we left the other crate open. So if there is any chasing they will be going around in circles.again thank you.
That was the way one of my setups was. The little coop was in the middle of the large run and the newbies got to race around the coop- uncatchable. Unfortunately, that proved to be a big issue when I needed to get chickens into the coop. The good yet strange thing was, is that was the best pecking order I've ever had! It even help heal my badly abused pullets that came from a terrible pecking order to the point they were willing to hangout with the new flock naturally.Aww..thank you so much.
