Haven't had to much hobby time, since my daughter was born(now 4).

Hobbies
sax
embedded systems/robotics
reading
scifi - reading and movies
gardening

play sax (tenor, barri, soprano and clarinet) - love Jazz. Love the smooth warm tone of barri and tenor sax

one hobby a few years back became work at the time - embedded systems (small computer plus electronics) / robotics
even worked on the robotics for an intel advert

making of video
(I have a couple of very brief cameo's)
Did most of the 3d printing(a friend did the design) and assembly.
Setting up the midi control and the wiring for it, the pneumatics for the instrument(tuba). The drums used solenoids.

First and last time I'll ever work for an advertising agency - had to reskin (print and cut the plastic sheets) the robot and arms/fingers at least 6 times to get the right shade of white (currently work for Amazon)
very nice indeed. I also play with microcontrollers and electronics - 'duino, pi, etc and incorporate into my 3d-printed goodies. I have built 3d printers (3 left), telescopes (2 left), and robots (none left :( ).

I am retired now but still have opportunity to develop and implement databases and dataviz tools for analysis of various things around the micro-homestead. With the upgraded electrical service, I'm adding a PoE hub and running powered ethernet cable around the whole yard. Can use that for driving Pi & 'duino, sensors, lights, etc.

My wife says that my main hobby is collecting hobbies.

edit: I've tried to pick up a musical instrument, but I'm apparently Guitarded.

Two. Another hobby I took up was running. I did it to be a role model for my son. The full story is that i had an accident and spent two weeks in the hospital. After surgery on my leg I ve got a rod, a plate, and a bunch of screws in my left leg. Apparently after coming out of surgery i told my husband, "I'm gonna run a marathon."
So I began running marathons (26.2 miles) and was amazed that I could do it. I enjoyed training and the friendships that i found in other runners. It got me into great shape! i am not fast...i have never won, but i always finish. I prefer running half marathons because the training is less intense which means more time with my family. i have to wake up at 4:30 am to get some running in during the week & on the weekend I'm running by 6am. I sacrifice sleep, lol. My son does not like running. He complains EVERY SINGLE STEP! I do get to be a role model for the community. I have inspired many people to run. That re-inspires me. Let me try and upload a picture here.
Running!! Good for you!! I would rather be eaten by a bear or something than run!!

Okay, that soap sounds amazing. I guess I'll have to throw my hat into the ring, too. :)

My number one hobby (outside of the chickens, of course) is birding. I've loved birds as long as I can remember, even before we started with the chickens, so birding is just a further extension of my passion for all things avian. So, basically, I go out in nature somewhere and just sit quietly for hours until a bird comes to me. Then, it's a battle to see the bird clearly and completely enough to get a positive ID without moving around so much that it flies off. Sounds super fun, right? (No, but really, it is quite peaceful and relaxing. :) )

Our woods here is one of my favorite places to go birding because it gives me the opportunity to see how it's doing out there. The woods is mid-succession, maybe even slightly early succession at the understory level, because my grandparents ran hogs through there decades ago, but the surrounding area was more recently (you know, only 15-20 years ago) farmed for crops and is in the earlier, grass-forb to shrubby-seedling stage of succession. That kind of texture isn't necessarily a bad thing for species. I keep a 'life list' of bird species I spot and more than 80 species on that list were spotted here, mostly where the woods meets that recovering cropland. :)

Unfortunately, I don't have a camera with a long enough lens to do any good bird photography while I'm at it. We do have bird feeders on the back deck (away from where the chickens could get near them), though, where I occasionally take pictures. Here is a really shadowy but still somewhat adorable Tufted Titmouse (Baeolophus bicolor) at one of the feeders:

And a panorama of the woods during early May this year. This was around the time I spotted an American Woodcock (Scolopax minor) in this area. He did a lot of displaying those evenings, but I never was able to catch him in the act. Fingers crossed for next spring! You can see where the woods just sort of stops and the early succession shrubs begin in the background, here:

I hope I didn't ramble too much! I love seeing what others do outside of chickening. :D
Very cool, and I love the images as well! I never had bird issues until this summer, dang red headed woodpeckers pokin holes all over my rafter on the porch, I even took care of the carpenter bees and they still came early enough in the morning that I didnt hear or see them! ugh why does something so stunning have to be such a menace to us!

Hobby: 1

My hobby is training horses.

I buy horses that aren't being used and sitting out in pastures going to waste. Then I work on riding them, teaching them to be respectful to their owners, lunging, trailering, desensitizing them to whips, plastic bags, traffic dogs etc. Them I match them up with people that are looking for good family horses!

I have 3 horses:
Lightning, Savvy, and Sunshine.

(Lightning)

Age: 10
Gender: Gelding
Breed: Grade
Height: 15.1 hands
Color: Palomino
Info: I purchased, Lightning, as a green broke horse 7 months ago. He had not been ridden in about 4 years and spooked at everything!:th
He would bolt while I was leading him and needed a TON of work at turning! I started him with direct reining them I slowly introduced neck reining, since I ride western of course! Now he's just about BOMB PROOF!
:celebrate A 4 year old has ridden him by herself. He's absolutely an amazing horse!

These are my personal horses that I am keeping Forever!

Bo, :loveis the last horse I trained and sold to a family.
Age: 6
Height: About 15 hands
Breed: Grade
Color: Sorrel
Info: Bo, was such a joy to train! She learned everything so quickly and was very eager to please! She needed work on trailering, loping when asked, riding with a bit etc. But she picked up on everything I taught her so fast!
The owners are actually using her to give horseback riding lessons to kids! I'm so happy she has a great home!:love
