I started a bracelet to day... had trouble cutting the heavier wire and realized I had grabbed the Stainless steel instead of the Titanium coated copper.... But since its my first bracelet I am continuing on with the project. ... so we will see.

I meant to write that I like your wire work jewelry @perchie.girl. A women further down the mountain here does similar work with silver wire and amber. She had a table at the exhibition I was at last weekend.

All the others you’ve posted look lovely but not necessarily my taste.
I know this is a how long is a piece of string question; I often get asked about the lamps I make....
Approximately how long would it take you to make a quilt with the detail level of Moonlit Garden of a size suitable for a double bed?

Seriously, I’m impressed. I see all sorts of good quality arts and crafts when I go to the fairs with my lamps. You could share my table any day.

Nope, I'm a newbie, but I'm really enjoying it!

These are fantastic! Are they felted? That is something else i'm starting to play with. Very cute! They would be fun to tuck into various corners in the house and see if the grandkids could find them all.

I struggle with the quote thing too. LOL

When I first started my account sodapop.draws I didn't hashtag anything because I thought it was stupid, I just wanted a personal page for myself. I don't know what happened later on, but I totally got into it!

awesome! Thank you! I will take time this weekend to figure it out. today I need to pack up a lot of soaps for my sister she is wholesaling them at a local craft show with her painted projects. I figure its good to get them out there more since I dont do shows.... they dont fit in with my hermitism ya know? lol Plus she gets to make cash off them too and helps fill up her stand. is there a way to save your post? so I can bookmark to come back on this new site or not? @R2elk

Thank you! They were sooo good. They took many, many hours of work, but they were worth it and I will be making them again. My only tips are to put the camera at an angle so that the foreground is in focus and the background is blurred. Also, natural light is always the best.
From what we be seen, you photos are amazing! That soap is gorgeous! I have always wanted to try soap making, and I’ve even almost bought supplies to do it. I have about 50 old beehives that are not in use that I’ve been slowly melting down. I’m planning on someday using that wax to make beeswax soaps. I want to make it find a mold that makes the soap look like honeycomb.

yes, the lighting stinks in here big time, I am lazy to go outside, and when I put near a window I get that hazy white in the back or my own shadowing if I try getting the light in the front. I made a pic box for chicks and it worked well with black inside, but I really want to keep it rustic with the wood, I even made a big box out of the same skid boards as my soap hutch but it still wasnt great and it took up way too much room in this small house. and I have no clue how to do the focus stuff, I use my cell, although Husband bought a rebel for me, it has too many things for me to try to remember to take pics. <hides> I guess I can get it out and attempt figuring it out eh? I know it wasnt cheap when he bought it several years ago and I may have used it four times. you should make soap.... I use bubble wrap for my soaps! I will post in a bit, need to find an image for you.

I'll post a couple more pictures later of the finished roof. I was reluctant to post much because its debatable whether or not it could be considered as a hobby. I just thought some people might be interested.

Goat Milk Oats honey, Hershey cocoa as coloring... I stopped using beeswax in soaps, it's basically used to harden soaps and it's a pain to high temp oils just to melt it. And sometimes would cause weeping. I only use local honey now. Bubble wrap works excellent and I can use it however and in whatever mold I want. So I can make bulk this way. And I love my

bee stamp too.

I then use numerous daylight bulbs shining through the sheet to eliminate shadows and glare. I put the camera on a tripod and use a remote release to eliminate any possible camera movement.

Using a P&S camera or a cell phone has the advantage of good depth of field since they typically operate with a small aperture. Your Rebel can be used in an automatic mode or a manual mode. Using it in a manual mode allows you to choose whether you want shallow depth of field (use a large aperture - small f number) or deep depth of field.

ok I will check that out, its actually back in its box so the paperwork should be in it too, if I am lucky! Thank you! and what is a daylight bulb in comparison to all the other new stuff? I know all my soap colorings are way off because of this light inside the house. purple looks blue and many other colors fail to show true coloring.

A daylight bulb is one that emits a color spectrum similar to actual daylight. Most of them are in the color temperature range of 4000k to 5000k and will give your images a more natural look.

This is another advantage of using an actual camera vs a phone camera. The Rebel should allow you to set the white balance. If you use the flash with the Rebel, it will automatically set the color temperature to match the flash also giving you a more natural color look to your images.

Of course if you shoot in Raw vs jpeg and use a good photo editing program, you can fix the color temp in editing.
