Official BYC Poll: Crumbles, Mash, or Pellets?

I feed crumbles. I'd love to try pellets, but my local feed store doesn't carry it in the Flock Raiser formula and I prefer the 20% protein. There is SO MUCH wasted & flicked out by them though. I do ferment during the cooler months. When it's hot I've found that it attracts flies.

I use pellets -way less waste (at least in my case). And my girls sneeze a lot of I give them crumbles which is hilarious, but I’m sure they prefer a no sneeze meal

Question--how big are pellets, typically? I always feel like if I were a chicken, pellets would be harder to swallow than crumbles. But maybe it is just me. I know many people use pellets.

My weirdo chickens have been known to swallow entire Cheerios (as treats I promise I don’t feed my chickens a diet of Cheerios) and don’t really seem to mind as long as they get their precious grit.

Blue Seal multi flock and it’s also higher protein than Flockraiser too which I like too
