I love the process, and I'm a science nerd. Plus I get so excited for new little fluffballs! Which means I candle almost every day up to when they start filling up the egg. At that point I just candle at lock-down.

We just had 8 out of 18 hatch and I was never able to see veins etc when candling.
The eggs are dark and shells are thick. RIR rooster and RIR hens and Golden Comet hens.
We have another batch in on 5.
On day 7 I will try again.
