My prince and princesses believe that snow is a toxic blanket that conceals underground lava monsters. Snow is to be avoided at all cost. On the occasional when snow blows into the run from the ridge forming a 6 inch x 18 inch thin dusting (a minuscule size compared to the run) then the flock is considered under attack and all retreat to the coop and hide in one corner. :th

My chickens stopped going in the coop even when it hailed. I had to force them in when it was dangerous weather and could freeze their feet and combs. They were not happy about it. When I git another batch of chickens just a few..they lived the coop and wood roost every night in 1..other chicKen's started roosting in it again. ..only a couple stay out now..my once always clean coops nnow look like poop houses every week lol. Not funny but is funny.

Mine decide for themselves whether to stay outside or go inside. They usually don't care how the weather is, especially my middle aged and younger ones. My older group don't mind getting damp and some light snow but heavier stuff, they're heading back in. They'll watch from a window or the door.
