I clean my coop whenever it needs it. I am cleaning it out about every week right now because I noticed my to Brahmas have some scaley leg mites.

Do you treat the SLM too? Only cleaning wont kill these mites.

It's not a pleasant part of keeping chickens, but it's one we must all deal with regardless: poop. How often do you clean your coop out? Don't include pens in your answer, just your coop or coops. Do you find it easy or difficult to clean them out? What changes to your coop design or technique would you make to improve the process?

I clean my quail coop when it needs doing. We use deep litter method so I tend to just spot clean. We use a tiny amount of charcoal to keep ammonia at bay. Deep litter works well with my covey.
