I am terrified of Hawks, I always see one in the nearby avocado tree in my neighbors backyard. It stares down at my chickens. I am still really grateful that I haven’t lost a chicken to one.

We woke up this morning and one of our hens was dead on the ground. There were no tracks and could not see any sign of anything other then our hen laying dead missing her head. After googling i think it may be an owl. Although cant rule out other prey we do have foxes racoons hawks skunks possiums around here. Going to be putting up netting today so hopefully that will solve the problem

I voted for man. Why? I did that because we kill chickens daily for their good taste. (No offense) Yet all the other
animals usually hunt to eat, not good taste.

Bears , mountain Lion , coyotes , fox , racoon , chicken hawks ,
There's to many to list .
so I took precautions at nite I put the lady's up close there door
so they don't Rome out at night . because I use a electric fence to deter all the animals . up here in the mountains you have to take every measure possible.
