Black tie and a dinner jacket. ;) :gig
Sounds nice. ;)
English is not my native language and I can only guess what a dressed chicken means. The dinner jacket, black tie and hat 🎩 is good for the laughingstock.
But my serious question is “ What does dressed in this context mean?”
Serious guess: “ Is it no head and all feathers? “

In this context "dressed" means completely prepared to be cooked -- gutted, plucked, head and feet removed. The way a whole chicken would be sold in the grocery store.

:hugsOh, @BDutch I am really sorry about the joke. I meant completely cleaned, feathers, head and insides removed. Does that make sense?

Thanks, was my own fault that I didn’t get the right answer the first time (joking myself). And Google translate still doesn’t know everything.

Btw I don’t like chickens looking like that. I rather see a rooster walking around with a few ladies. But in reality this is only the destination for a happy few.[/QUOTE]

Thats why I always give them away. Hoping to extend their lives as happy roosters.

I also need to remember, we talk differently here in New Orleans, than in other parts of American, sometimes. ;)
We have the same with Dutch and people from the North of Belgium (flemish). But commutating is also learning each other languages. I do like that.
My English/American English has improved a lot reading and responding in this forum. At the beginning I used Translate a lot. And now I rarely do.
I do wonder how often I make strange mistakes though. But you Americans are so polite. That I probably never know. 🤩

I personally do not hatch unless I can deal with the roosters (preferably Keep them, we hatch the best boys ) but if I had to offload some I’d sell them at a show.
I didn't go to the shows in the spring because of covid. Our first show of the season is next month. I usually take birds to sell at the shows but not sure If I will go. I'm elderly with conditions so I'm being very cautious.
