Not here for some reason. Less wasted meat and less hungry peopleStuff in the freezer?
I would be curious to know if animals needed to be processed in USDA facility?

I believe 'dressed' means a cleaned carcass...no guts, no feathers, ready to cook.Serious guess: “ Is it no head and all feathers? “
But my serious question is “ What does dressed in this context mean?”
Serious guess: “ Is it no head and all feathers? “
Sounds nice.
English is not my native language and I can only guess what a dressed chicken means. The dinner jacket, black tie and hatis good for the laughingstock.
But my serious question is “ What does dressed in this context mean?”

In this context "dressed" means completely prepared to be cooked -- gutted, plucked, head and feet removed. The way a whole chicken would be sold in the grocery store.
Oh, @BDutch I am really sorry about the joke. I meant completely cleaned, feathers, head and insides removed. Does that make sense?
We have the same with Dutch and people from the North of Belgium (flemish). But commutating is also learning each other languages. I do like that.I also need to remember, we talk differently here in New Orleans, than in other parts of American, sometimes.![]()
I'd askI do wonder how often I make strange mistakes though. But you Americans are so polite.
I didn't go to the shows in the spring because of covid. Our first show of the season is next month. I usually take birds to sell at the shows but not sure If I will go. I'm elderly with conditions so I'm being very cautious.I personally do not hatch unless I can deal with the roosters (preferably Keep them, we hatch the best boys ) but if I had to offload some I’d sell them at a show.
