How have you all been? Are you still using the same incubators?

Not much has changed here but we have added two new incubators and aren't using the broody hens as much. We've added an Rcom Maru MX380CD cabinet incubator and a Brinsea Ovation 56 EX Connect.

How have you all been? Are you still using the same incubators?

Not much has changed here but we have added two new incubators and aren't using the broody hens as much. We've added an Rcom Maru MX380CD cabinet incubator and a Brinsea Ovation 56 EX Connect.

Wow! I actually am, I still have my original NR 360 and bought another one last year. I've also now got a number of big styrofoam incubators, a brinsea maxi II eco, and the brinsea mini II advance I won in the baby fowl contest on here a couple years ago.
I use the NRs the most and put all of my more valuable eggs in them. The styrofoam ones are all different kinds and I really don't like any of them. I use the eco brinsea as a hatcher because it's easy to clean and the brinsea mini is amazing for small batches. It's definitely a set it and forget it incubator. I've had nothing but 100% hatches in it.
And of course I still use broodies when I get them.

I don't have one and I really want one! Hoping to get a simple one some time soon! Does any recommend a certain one/ brand?

Buy the best you can afford. The cheap ones aren't worth having and will need replaced quickly. Buy a larger capacity one than you think you need, hatching is addictive.

Most of what little hatching I've done in the past few years has been by "accidental broody," but I have finished off a few clutches with my Nurture Right 360. My perennial Mama (bantam buff cochin) steals eggs mid-brood, so she can have a really wide hatch-date spread. She generally quits after the first batch hatches, so the incubator's been a real life-saver when Gem decides she's done, but the egglets aren't!
