We have a small, mixed flock and just added new chickens in June. Of the new girls, this is the approximate order in which they began laying in December:

Australorp: 25 weeks
Speckled Sussex: 25 weeks
Bielefelder: 26 weeks
Buttercup: 26 weeks
Silver Grey Dorking: 27 weeks
Silver Grey Leghorn: 28 weeks

They are such pleasant, healthy birds, and we truly weren't expecting first eggs until later, due to the reduced daylight. Well done, Murray McMurray!

My 2 youngest pullets started to lay around 22 weeks old. They are both bantam Amrocks.

FYI
The big Amrocks are originally from the US, and related to the Plymouth Rock. The Amrock is bred from the same lineage as the Plymouth Rock. Where the Plymouth Rock was quickly bred as a show breed, the Amrock remained a utility breed.

Amrock Bantams originate from Germany.
It is a very calm and trusting breed.
The color is striped, and lays about 200 eggs per year, the weight of the egg is about 40 grams and the color of the egg is brown/yellow.

As a utility breed it belongs to the laying breeds and meat breeds.
The Amrock Bantam has a single comb.
The weight of the rooster is about 1000 grams and of the hen 900 gr.
