Here y'all go! Fluffy Egg Nests from the Encyclopedia of Cooking 1950, aka #78.

I opted for the suggestion of sprinkling on cheese and garnishing with parsley and paprika. It doesn't specify a time to cook, just until the whites are brown and the yolk is firm. This took about 15-20 min in my oven, and I rotated them halfway through. Excellent wow factor but still simple and easy to make!

Also, you want to make the hollow in the whites pretty deep, especially if you accidentally break any yolks, otherwise they just overflow and run off the sides. Still tasty, but can make the bread stick to the pan.
