Oh my gosh, I feel bad for the bug but that is SO COOL!
You'd be surprised but often if you warm a Ladybug up, it springs back to life, as they hibernate. I've relocated a few I found in frozen birdbath to a shed with an opening, they hibernate in there over winter & come spring they're walking & flying all over. If you come across a motionless Ladybug, just relocate to a sheltered outdoor area, it's not necessary dead.

Mine hate it too. Luckily they have a rain cover and can hide under that if they want to

Mine will run through the pen to their covered gazebos, there's dustbath towards the rear, a perch towards front. They'll hang out there, or run back into the coop, so funny. I don't like cold, wet feet either though, so I get it. Lol

I really like that gazebo idea. I've sort of made makeshift versions of those, but plastic tables covered in scraps of tarp definitely don't look as nice as that.
