Official Christmas Hatch! c'mon and join

I got the third Delaware-x rocking. At least 1 of the Silkies is rocking.

Number eleven just hatched. If they are fluffed up tomorrow, I'll move them to the brooder and take a few pictures. I started my brooder lamp when the first chick hatched. The temperature is steady, and I've got food and water waiting. Waiting has got to be that hardest part of raising chickens.

Do the chicks always pip in there a few days before hatch? and is it constant? I'm just curious and anxiously waiting to hear any little pips from my two eggs... Momma is being so good, staying on the nest at all times but in the early morning. I'm so proud of Gilly

Congratulations everyone! Sounds as if all of you are going to have successful hatches. I have two silkies and am waiting for the rest to hatch. They are about a week behind because several of my silkies decided that if one hen could do it they all could so I have some late.

This has been me the last week.. I finally threw out the day 25's, they were getting a bit smelly. I am hoping the rest of them that lockdowned tonight DO SOMETHING! But..I will not worry...nope. Nada.

VA, Oh yes, my roosters now think they are hens and should cram themselves into the 12 ' X 12' next that already has five, notice FIVE hens in there. You can't see anything but feathered butts!!!
