Official Christmas Hatch! c'mon and join

Umm, you did set them at the same time as the others correct? So they are due at the same time as the others correct? When they are laid has nothing to do with when they hatch, just when they are set....right???

You're right. Because it's cold, none of the eggs could get a head start. Last summer a friend mailed me some eggs that she had collected when her storage-room air conditioner wasn't working. She collected eggs for 4 days, packed them, and shipped them. During the three-day trip here, the eggs were exposed to temperatures ranging for 70 - 90 degrees. The eggs hatched in four batches, each matching up with the collection dates that she had written on the eggs.

Yay!!! The babies are coming! I will post a pic in a minute of my pip so far, but can someone explain to me the position for hatching they are supp to be in? Mine seems like its head is upside down and the egg tooth is hitting down instead of around... I'll try to shoe you in the pic...

Mine aren't due till the 26 th, but I've been hatching small batches all week. So far we have 5 araucana's, & 2 Mille D'uccle. The 26th I've got only 2 polish eggs due out of the 7...Cant wait to see their fuzzy heads. Good Luck all, and gr8 pics so far.

NO POSTING OF PICTURES UNLESS YOU TELL US WHAT THEY ARE!

I knew that was a d'uccle by its cute little muffs! I've got a whole bag of handwarmer packets for my chickies if our power goes out. We are supposed to have an ice storm tonight. Plus I have to work on Christmas for a few hours (sigh). Got all the wrapping done just a few minutes ago. I thought about selling some of these as Christmas chicks, but they're so cute I want to keep them all! LOL

Sorry the yellow ones are buff orpintons and the other ones are supposed to be ameraucana's but I think they are actually EE's. Thats ok, they are all cute!!!! Congrats to everyone else. I am staying up late to help the last 4 hatch due to humidity issues and waiting on my kids to go to sleep so I can wrap their presents.

I have 8 chicks walking around in the incubator! They have been in there pretty much all day. There are still 3 more in the incubator. 1 has pipped but the other 2 have not. In the morning will it be ok to take the hatched chicks out and let the rest stay in there to hatch? I want to take them out because they are playing football with the other eggs unhatched eggs! I'm afraid if I open the incubator i'll let to much humidity/temperature out, thus affecting the three unhatched chicks. What do I do?

I have two more pips!!! I really dont know how much I'll be sleeping tonight! The first one though still doesnt seem to be getting anywhere... does anyone know about the hatching position? I did get humidity up to 65% finally. I am concerned though because he pipped so long ago and even the feathers I can see seem to be dried now. I dont want him getting stuck because he's upside down?!
