Sangel4you: Handle those eggs with care, they are "Fragilllaaay" or is the word "Fragile," will have to put that movie on again & see; have watched that vhs so much it's wearing out I think!

Will try to get another hours sleep, then Christmas begins at our house.

My first baby!! Out of a dark red egg. He is probaby RIR and something else! He popped his shell off at 12:00 midnight! He was lonley for about an hour and the yellow chick popped out of the other red egg. The Yellow chick has a black spot on his back! Awww they are so cute! I can hear them peeping in the bedroom in the bator! I see now a large white egg and a green egg are pipping now! Best Christmas gift so far! I have named red chick Nog and Yellow chick Spice! Yeeeee I am so happy! I did remove the shells after the chick came out, Nogs shell looks bloody, but he hatched himself out, I swear I didn't touch him. I did open the bator briefly to put Spice next to nog, he had launched himself out of the cardboard when he popped out of his egg. I am calling them all "he" so that I won't be dissapointed when they become all roos! lol

WELL if the first one that I hatched out lives, he will be named Miracle (I too am thinking ahead calling them all HE lol) And it looks like he may be ok! He kicked out of his "paper towel egg" and the clotted part of the umbilicus fell off and there's no bleeding! He's still hobbling around trying to build strength and dry off but he is awake and chirping etc and it seems he has called a few more to wake up and get to work! One pip that started earlier pipped in another spot now (he had been playing kickball with this egg) and theres another big pip through the membrane! So thats one out, and 3 pipped! 11 more to go..c'mon chickies!!!
Second one that hatches will be named Desh. Guy who gave me the roo said he always liked that name and so of course I'm going to name a baby that! Then after that we'll have fun with christmas names!
Oh and I have to tell you all the funny story that happened this morning! Once I get all the christmas pics off I will be able to post pics easier, but my 6yr old DS came running out into the kitchen this morning in his socks, and as he is running towards me it seemed to happen in slo mo, and just like in a carton on a banana peel his feet flew out from under him landing him on his back. I tried to grab him but was too slow, but as he was going down he grabbed a garbage bag full of trash and pulled it down on top of him LOL and of course me being the evil Mom I am...the first thing I did was grab the camera as he's sitting on the floor covered in popcorn and other trash and yelling at everyone for laughing at him.... ha ha ha Poor kid!
Off to cut some potatoes, make punch, and set up the nut trays! Talk to you all soon and hoping your having a great time!

ETA: Just got the NEXT best chirstmas present...my BFF just called to tell me SHE'S PREGNANT!!! :-D YAY what a great morning!
