I made another brooder yesterday. It is more a "grower-outer" so I can kick the big chicks out of the brooder and put newly hatched chicks in there. The DH is an enabler too!

I attempted to find the wire I need to build my quail cage, can't find it anywhere.

I have a growout pen that I use, but I am not sure if I am going to convert it to my turkey pen or if I will continue to use it as the grow out.

Here are my hatch dates.

3/31..... I have 33 EE eggs (from 22 atlchick and 11 cara) due
4/10..... I have 6 turkey eggs (from kellyhm) and 12 mixed flock from march egg swap (from crazyfowlfreak)

So, not only do I have hatch addiction, I have a purchase from bycers issue.

Do ya'll ever purchase from everything else auction? What all good stuff have you found?

Well...I might as well join in coz I think I have a problem....

I live in a 3 bedroom doublewide w/2 bathrooms the back bathroom has a standup single shower that has a leak in the wall when used it.... so we chose not to use it at all ...and this summer we are tearing it out and revamping the whole bathroom so... recently when I had a hatch of 15 chicks and they grew out of the brooder and I had more in the bator and a friend gave me ten young silkies and the mom(i just could'nt say no)... I panicked I had no where to put them SO... I converted the stand up shower (That we are tearing out anyway) to a double cage for my chicks..built a wood frame door w/ chicken wire on it and tadah a cage for my chicks..so proud of myself...yes I clean it regularly and they go outside during nice days in the tractor but we are still having snow in oklahoma it is too cold for them to stay outside right now ...my wonderful DH is so patience with me he is building me a new chicken house but the roof is not finished yet.

So now the kicker..I have bator 2 going right now with 21 in it...
please pray for me I am a hatch-a holic..I do take very good care of all my chicks..&(chickens)

I promise I am stopping right after this hatch...
unless someone has polish eggs for sale I would really love to have some of those...then I will be finished...lol

The incubator has eggs in it due:

1-Egg, I dunno...looks full in there, and I can see movement
10- Due the 27th
5- Due the 1st
12- Due the 7th
12- Due the 10th

Hi I'm Jody and I'm in trouble with this wanting to hatch anything in an egg. It started in January with finding this web site. I wanted chickens again, husband had been saying no for 15 years. After reading that you could hatch TJ eggs and realizing I still had my incubators from 20 years ago in storage I went crazy

Last month I tried TJ eggs and BCM from ebay. I didn't hatch one TJ's but hatched 5 BCM's out of 9 eggs. I love my chicks and now the bator is going again and were still working on a coop for the BCM's.
My husband keeps asking me what I'm going to do with all these chickens

I am.........not sure

I have people who say they want some so we'll see. I'm torn between wanting to sell the chicks or keep them all to see what they look like and then decide.

So yes I am addicted and don't want help. Please don't try and cure me

It could be worse I use to raise horses too!! I could be foaling instead of hatching.

Okay my name is Denny and I have one incubator with 50 eggs it

due 3/6 I did raise lots of horses now I just raise one every other year (my filly is almost a year old). I converted the incubator I used for my AIing (horse swimmers) into a hatcher because it has a glass door so I can see better

just added a microwave fan to it as it was just a thermal one. I won RB turkey eggs on Ebay

they will be here after Easter. It all started in Jan. I hadn't owned any chickens in years so I ordered 36 chicks from MM. Now I have 37 in a brooder 3 weeks old more ordered from Welp and Cackle so I could get some turkeys and I am wishing to get more eggs to hatch. HELP I am having way too much fun.
