Official "I Love Silkies" Thread!!!

As a kid, we had a Silkie once, and I adored her...my Dad always said they were wonderful "setters" that they'd set on anything - even a rock! Well, I have just started raising chickens (as a Grammie!) and just HAD to have a Silkie to brood...then decided 2 would be better....had a hard time finding them and posted here looking for 2 hens and an unrelated Roo...and ended up buying a flock of 9 (4 hens and 5 chicks, which SHOULD include a Roo lol!)

I am so excited I can hardly stand it, wish next weekend would hurry up and GET here!! (I go get them 10/09!!) lol
I have no clue how to get pics in this post or I'd include a few sorry...

I love Silkies because they are lap chickens. If we sit with our legs straight out, they all line up and sleep on us. I've had 9 all at once!! They are such sweeties. Here are some of my babies.
