Kim...my 11 yo dd is named Arianna! If we only lived closer.... If I can convince my hubby to allow me to keep a roo, I'll definitely hook you up
(I think I can convince him..especially if his favorite "Nugget" is a roo!)
steffpeck...I couldn't agree more! I'll definitely be buying from Jody again!
Southernbelle...Thank you!
on your hatch and I can't wait to see your fuzzy butt pics too
Bandana...That has to be one of my favorite pics! The ironic thing is that that is Pippens temperament. He is so chill!
island.girlie...
for a good first hatch for you! I start mine in a Genesis 1588 and I use a 1602 for a hatcher. It's a still air and after taking a bit of tweaking to get the setting just right, it held beautifully!
Okay, now for some sad news. When I took out the last two chicks this morning, I decided to candle the last egg. The baby had died. I opened it (which was heartbreaking) and it was fully formed, and it had not absorbed the yolk sac. This is the egg with the sideways airsac. We'll be burying him in the backyard this afternoon.
As for a hatch rate, we were so blessed.
16 eggs received from Jody (not one cracked!)
-4 scrambled by the PO taken out around day 10
-2 that my 2yo son Adam broke
-1 that quit in the first week
Left 9 that went into the hatcher. I have 8 beautiful, healthy fuzzy butts! I'm truly blessed
