Just wondering, what veterinarian field are you wanting to go into?

Just your regular old small animal vet with a focus on exotics.

Are you behind schedule? Is that why you are taking the extra classes?

I'm not sure what you mean. I could have a more reasonable load if I graduated in spring 2022, or I could shave a semester off by squeezing it all into 2021.. so that's what I'm trying to do.
I just want to finish as quickly as possible, I'm sick and tired of being an undergraduate.

no idea how much work experience i have and whether or not they would even count it now.....i worked for 2 different veterinary clinics from 1996-1999 FT (and have the scars to prove it) i just remember shaq’s neapolitan mastiffs, the vet’s rotties that i gave baths to pregnant because she couldn’t because she was pregnant and a chow that had to be hog-tied and sedated for a bath, the cat that clawed me and almost went feral in the clinic, and the sharpei that ripped my pocket when climbing me think i have 3.8 for my bachelor and 3.1 for my dmd ???

Nice! I have some varied work experience, which is nice. My problem is that due to moving, school, and my health, I never got to stay at one clinic long enough to rack up the hours I need.

Ah okay! I thought maybe you were behind or missing some and had to catch up or something since you were taking the mini semester and the summer ones? But totally understand wanting to finish faster! Although honestly that may stress you out more taking so many classes at once. I know you probably just want to be done with it though, which is understandable, but might be better to be in school a little bit longer and take less classes at once so you can breathe a little bit instead of stressing yourself out more cramming.

kinda surprising that there’s no covid exemption for the shadowing/work hours!?! they did suspend board exams for this year’s dental grads and grant them temporary licensure in KY for sure.....not absolutely sure about the situation in other states.

you do whatever you need to do for you!! Even if that means pushing it back! Nothing wrong with that. There were like 40 and 50 year olds and even a few older people at my school that went back to school after decades because they were finally able to or had always wanted to or whatever and nothing wrong with that. not saying you’ll take that long but point is, if you need to then do it!

but have you seen the cost of college lately??? i mean i’ve been out for nearly 13 years and still owe nearly 400k (in state)

I am finishing my bachelor's in 2021 if it kills me, dawg.

They waived the GRE for last cycle's applications, but that's about it.
