Oh Craigslist, You Amuse Me So!

Even then...what religious purposes? Who sacrifices goats anymore? Or do they mean for trading for a wife? And who does that anymore? Too many questions...
Pretty sure that there are still ceremonies in the Jewish religion where they sacrifice animals, but not sure if goats are one of animals sacrificed or not.
I know when I lived in Texas there was a local church that bought sheep from my neighbors for some ceremonies. I think they also used goats sometimes.

Some sects still believe sheep should be for passover but definitely not in the mainstream. That practice ceased after the destruction of the second temple in 70 CE. I would think more some of the African religions like voodoo tho. Anyways let's get back on topic. I'm sure Craigslist has something far more humorous to entertain us with

Well that's a bargain :gig

Are you referring to halal food? Cause I'm pretty sure kosher isn't goat. That which tread upon the cloven hoof is unclean
According to wikipedia, you have it exactly backwards.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kosher_animals
The only clean animals with hooves are the ones with cloven feet (plus certain other conditions.) So goats, sheep, cattle are on the list of clean animals, but horses and donkey are unclean.

Pigs are unclean, not because they have cloven hooves, but because they fail a different condition (need to chew their cud, pigs don't.)

And it looks like halal and kosher have a pretty big overlap in what kinds of animals are accepted.
