hey, i paid $10 a chick when i got my first chicks. and they were just McMurry stock. but i was willing to pay that muh because it was either getting some expensive purebreeds or cheaper polish brahma crosses

Well I have a $45 chick. Mind you he is pure blood Ameraucana from good lines, but he is the only one to hatch out of eggs shipped to me.

Yep....but that is not as bad as the $60 I paid for the 0 chicks that hatch.

Yep, Me too. Paid $40 for one batch, $45 for another. I got 3 chicks out of both batches combined. I have had terrible success with shipped eggs.
I have found though, that the shorter the distance shipped the better the hatch rate.

I did ship some to OH with 100% hatch rate though, using foam. Yea Me.
