Call me absolutely crazy! But I am going to post this anyway. We hardly ever go to "the golden arches" because we really do not like the food there. But my 6 year old son does like the toys. So once in a blue moon, mostly during an dinner emergency, we do go for the "Mac-attack". Currently the figures of "Puss in Boots" are the toys in the happy meal, leaving my son very sad since during the recent once in a 3 month visit, since he did not "score" the famous brown cat with the hat on. Through his tears he tried to act all cool: "But dad, I am okay, because I did get a toy.... even though it is not the cat with the hat on....".
So here I am, feeling like some idiot, posting on Craigslist if anyone who is a frequent Mac-D visitor, if they have a spare one of those brown cats with the hat on........ If not to far out of the way, I am more than willing to drive by to pick it up, and pay you the cost of another happy meal for your kid for it. I just want to surprise my son, and see that twinkle in his eyes when he tells me "your the best dad ever!!"........
Just e-mail me if you have one to spare.

one of my dogs was a free basset puppy from craigslist. the guy who gave him to me was so sweet. He asked me to bring a blanket along(it was december) to pick the dog up, so i could keep the puppy warm on the ride home.

We gave our Bichon away for free on CL. People had to be willing to give a vet reference, allow us to look at their home before we would consider them. Someone answered my ad on behalf of a sweet old man who had lost his wife and his 15 year old Bichon in the same year, and he didn't have internet. We brought our pooch along for a ride to meet him and check his place out...we talked and talked for hours, and ended up feeling so good about him, that we left our dog in his care immediately. We forwarded her shot records, etc, and he had her spayed within 3 days of getting her. He brought her to the groomers the day after we left to get a froo-froo hair cut!

And has called us with updates on how she is doing! When we left, he was crying because he was so happy, and I was crying because I was so happy. It was such a heartwarming/happy situation. She was also smiling, and even fell asleep in his arms as we visitied! She was free.
