Oh Craigslist, You Amuse Me So!

The other day, under "wanted" was an add for FREE Chickens. The poster also needed them to be delivered as she had no transportation...

Thanks for the education everyone...like I said...I know little about cattle..but now I know more!

I am a huge fan of "useless information." I don't know a lot about the different breeds of cattle, but I did know that one! My husband didn't though!

Salmon Favorelle Rooster - $25 (Dennisport)

Do you have a pesty neighbor that you just want to royally piss off? Someone in your family have a problem getting up in the morning? Do you need patience therapy but that bill is just more than you're willing to spend? Just married and need a teacher of how to ignore the most annoying vices? Have I got the answer for YOU!
The Salmon Favorelle is SUPOSSED TO BE QUIET, but this ones an exception to the rule. He is very handsome but mildly retarded. His temperment is very good with people, but a little bit of a scardy cat. He doesn't peck or freak out when you pick him up but he would rather just do his own thing. The main reason I got him was HE WAS SUPOSSED TO BE QUIET....fat chance. This cock and feather show "reports" at least once a minute from about 4am till somewhere near noon, at which time he could sound off at even the slightest whim. He will also crow at the porch light, a flashlight, the family room light, light a cigarette within his sight, anything that's brighter than him, (which would be anything other than pitch black) can make him "crow". I tell you I think right from the getgo when he was learning how to crow, he got his zipper caught in the frank and beans. His crow is nothing like I've ever heard, you'd think he was peeing on a electric fence, or an old AAUUGGA horn that has been smashed by a hammer. I thought a fox was in the hen house the first time I heard it and it never got much better. So for my families sanity and for the sake of my neighbors (who don't hate me yet and would like to keep it that way) he has to go. Hatched August, 2011.
